Bob "Bullet" Frasier, 82, life resident of Morgan County, passed away Wednesday, September 17, 2014, at the University Medical Center in Aurora. He was born August 7, 1932, in Brush to John & Goldie Frasier. Bob grew up on the Frasier family farm east of Hillrose. He attended the Roosevelt School near Hillrose until his family moved to Fort Morgan when he was in the sixth grade. Bob graduated from Fort Morgan High School in 1950. He attended college at Colorado A & M (CSU). On March 9, 1952, he married his high school sweetheart, Marlene Mittelstadt in Fort Morgan. The Frasier's lived south of Fort Morgan at their Honeymoon home. In 1959 they bought a home north of Fort Morgan where Bob & his family farmed for several years. After retiring from farming, he sold farm implements and cars for the Clatworthy Company. He later worked for Korf Auto and Wolf Auto. Bob was passionate about sports, especially baseball and softball. He played on the Gary baseball team and later played and coached several softball teams - fast pitch, slow pitch, men's teams and women's teams. He was affectionately known as "Bullet" in the various sport events that he participated in. He enjoyed watching his children and grandchildren in their many activities. He was a 4-H leader when his children were younger. He was a member of the United Presbyterian Church, the Elks Lodge, the Jaycees, and was involved with the Boy Scouts much of his life. Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Marlene of Fort Morgan; 4 children, Barbara (Rick) Lapp, Kathy (Kip) Barthlama, and Steve (Shelly) Frasier all of Fort Morgan and Rhonda (Greg) Knoblauch of St. Charles, MO; his sister, Beverly (Marvin) Kembel of Fort Morgan; grandchildren, Kyle (Natalie) Barthlama of Snohomish, WA, Kraig (Brandy) Barthlama of Casper, WY; Joshua (Mackenzie) Lapp of Fort Morgan; Cole Frasier of Kearney, NE; Alisha (Bill) Kubic of Aurora, CO, Dawnelle L'Heureux McClellan of Wiggins, Cady Frasier, and Sydney L'Heureux both of Fort Morgan; Sarah Knoblauch-Gordon of Arvada, CO and Laura Knoblauch of Denver; and great grandchildren, Natasha, Mercedes, Kathrine, Jackson, Stellan, Ryan, Konnor, Kelsey, Keason, Branson, Braydon, and Kassandra. A celebration to honor "Bullet" Bob's life will be Monday, September 22, at 2:00 PM at the United Presbyterian Church in Fort Morgan. Interment will follow in the Memory Gardens. Visitation will be at the Heer Mortuary Chapel in Fort Morgan on Sunday from 1- 3 PM and Monday 12:00 - 1:30 PM at the United Presbyterian Church.
