Roberta "Bobbe" Holmes, 53, passed away Thursday, July 22, 2010, at Eben Ezer Lutheran Care Center in Brush following a lengthy battle with cancer. She was born October 2, 1956, in Brush, to Richard & Pearl Holmes. Prior to ill health forcing her retirement, Bobbe worked at the Brush Middle School as a paraprofessional. She also gave pedicures to homebound and the elderly. Bobbe was an avid motorcycle rider and was a member of ABATE, a member of the Moose Lodge of Morgan County. She enjoyed playing softball, and bowling. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Survivors include her daughter, Becci Meza, and her husband Vince, of Brush; her parents, Dick & Pearl Holmes of Brush; her brother, Rick Holmes, and his wife, Sharon, of Brush; and her grandchildren, Vinson and Molly. She was preceded in death by her husband, Larry Atwood. A memorial service will be held Tuesday, July 27, 2010, at 10:30 AM at the Brush High School Auditorium. Inurnment will follow in the Brush Memorial Cemetery.
