Bobbi
Meng
Dec 4, 1959 — Mar 19, 2018
Bobbi L. Meng, 58, of Englewood, and formerly of Fort Morgan, left us to walk with her Lord & Savior on Monday, March 19, 2018.
She was born in Fort Morgan on December 4, 1959 to Robert & Wanda (Reynolds) Meng. She attended area schools and graduated from Fort Morgan High School with the class of 1978. After high school she attended Bauder Fashion College in Arlington, TX.
Upon her return to Fort Morgan, she began her job with the Morgan County Jail as a cook, which she did for several years. Bobbi became the executive director of Caring Ministries in 2005, a job that was more than a job, but a passion for Bobbi. A selfless soul with a true servant's heart, Bobbi spent countless hours in the service of others, whether it be with her job or in her personal life. She was always willing and ready to help anyone in need, even if it meant that she went without. She especially looked forward to putting together the yearly Santa Shop, where the primary focus was gift giving and providing warm winter clothes to children. She also enjoyed organizing the Salvation Army bell ringing during the holiday season, and putting together food drives for the ministries pantry as well as countless other charitable activities. Bobbi's love for others left her door wide open with welcoming arms extended to the needy, the sick, the hungry, and the brokenhearted. She was always a listening ear for anyone who needed to talk or tell their story. For all of these wonderful things, Bobbi will be truly missed. After her time with Caring Ministries, Bobbi moved to Englewood where she has since resided.
When time allowed, Bobbi enjoyed reading, camping, and being at the lake. She also enjoyed endless movie watching on the Hallmark Channel. Above all else, her heart belonged to her grandchildren, and she loved spending time with them.
She is survived by her daughters, Ashley Tatkenhorst and husband, Levi of Ward, and Liana Littlefield and husband, Darryn Houser of Greeley; sisters, Renee Becker and husband, Bob, and Sheryl Stark and husband, Rodger, all of Fort Morgan; her sister-in-law, Linda Meng of Gilbert, AZ; her grandchildren, Nevaeh, Lillie, and Grayson Tatkenhorst of Ward and Flynn and Jaycee Houser of Greeley; her special friend, Gary Deffner of Englewood; and family friend/brother, Steve Hall as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Bobbi was preceded in death her parents, Bob & Wanda Meng; her brother, Mike Meng; and her grandparents, Henry & Freida Meng and Granderson & Leona Reynolds.
A service to celebrate Bobbi's going home will be Friday, March 23rd at 2:00 PM at the Heer Mortuary Chapel in Fort Morgan.
Memorial donations may be made to The Salvation Army or to the charity of the donor's choice.
