Bonnie June August, 83, lifetime resident of Morgan County, passed away Saturday May 12, 2018 at Eben Ezer Lutheran Care Center in Brush. She was born August 15, 1934 to John & Erna Miller in Fort Morgan.

Bonnie married Leo August on August 23rd, 1953 in Fort Morgan. Together they farmed and ranched south of Brush where they raised their family. Bonnie also worked for ten years at Eben Ezer where she enjoyed serving meals to the centers neighbors.

Bonnie was baptized in the Lutheran Church in Fort Morgan. She became an active member of the Brush United Methodist Church for over 60 years assisting in many functions. She also served for over 60 years with the Order of the Eastern Star in Brush in many functions including Worthy Matron. She also enjoyed getting together with friends south of Brush and the many family gatherings.

Survivors include her husband Leo August of Brush, four children, Luan August (Pat Gebauer) of Hillrose, Patti King of Fort Morgan, Roger August (Julie) of Pagosa Springs, Rex August (Trish) of Brush, 11 Grandchildren, 15 Great Grandchildren, 1 Brother, and 4 Sisters.

She was preceded in death by an infant son Gary, 4 Brothers, 2 Sisters and her parents.

A Memorial Service will be held at the Brush United Methodist Church on Friday May 18, 2018 at 11:00AM.  In lieu of flowers friends who wish may make donations to the Brush United Methodist Church, Order of the Eastern Star, or Cancer Research.
