Bonnie Lea Blake Dykes was born on August 21st in 1972 to Earl & Patsy Blake (Doman) in Brush, Colorado and lived 52 years before she passed away September 4th 2024 peacefully at her home in Brush. She graduated from Brush High School in 1990 and went on to raise 4 children who she based the rest of her life around.

Bonnie grew up south of Brush on an a farm with her grandparents, mom, dad and sister. Checking cows, riding dirt bikes, driving somewhere too fast, and helping as her family grew and harvested wheat. She spent most of her time with her family and friends and that didn't change as she got older. She became a mom to 4 girls and 2 step-daughters.

Later on her days were usually spent in a full house with all her kids and her kids' friends & all the people who never seemed to belong anywhere else. she had a home for anyone. the door was open and there was room inside. she had a way of showing kindness and empathy when no one else did. She helped a lot of people in her 52 years and her children hope to carry that on.

Bonnie is proceeded in death by her mother, Patsy Blake; her paternal grandparents, Oscar & Agnes Blake; her maternal grandparents, Harley & Elnora Doman, and Jason Slocum.

She is survived by her husband Craig Dykes; six daughters, Faith Hornecker (Zachariah), Victoria Parrish (Quinn), Patricia Mata (Victor), Alleisa Dykes (Adreana Escobedo- Martinez), Jasmine Zink (Justin) and Charity Dykes; eight grandchildren.

A Memorial Service will be held for Bonnie Friday September 13, 2024 at Brush United Methodist Church at 1:00 PM, followed by a luncheon at the Brush VFW at 2:30 PM.
