Obituary

Bonnie J Egan, 89, former Wiggins resident, passed away Monday, April 29, 2024, at the East Morgan County Hospital in Brush.  She was born December 16,1934, to Nina and Theron King at their home in Phillip's County Kansas.

On January 25, 1950, Bonnie married Gerald Egan in Oxford, NE where they farmed until 1961.  They then made their home in Wiggins where she began a part time job working for the US department of Agriculture, 50 years later, she retired from it. In 1980 they moved to Greeley, CO where they enjoyed their golden years.

She enjoyed camping and fishing and playing poker on her tablet. Her favorite time was spent with her family, following her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and her great great grandson in all their adventures.

Survivors include 2 daughters, Sandra (Tom) Ruhl of Wiggins and Cindy (Gene) Wehrer of Fort Morgan, 2 sisters Karen Lammers of Minden NE, and Cheryl (John) Stransky of Lincoln NE,1 brother-in-law Kenneth Egan of Denver; 7 grandchildren Jennifer (Jonah) Wernsman, Anthony Hicks, Marc (Cassie) Ruhl, Jeff (Nancy) Ruhl, Melissa (Chris) Boehm, Tanya (Justin) Koch, and Kevin (Tayler) Wehrer, 20 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandson and many nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her Husband of 69 years, her daughter Janis Egan, 8 brothers and sisters and her parents.

Funeral services will be Tuesday May 7, 2024, at 11:00 AM at the Wiggins Community Church.  Interment will follow in the Hoyt Cemetery followed with lunch back at the church. In lieu of plant a tree, friends who wish may make memorial gifts to the Wiggins Community Church P.O. Box 8, Wiggins, Co 80654
