Bruce Owen
Marron
Oct 2, 1945 — Apr 12, 2025
Fort Morgan
Bruce Owen Marron, 79, of Fort Morgan, Colorado, passed away peacefully at home on April 12, 2025, surrounded by his family—just as he wished.
Born on October 2, 1945, in Morrill, Nebraska, Bruce lived a life rooted in integrity, guided by curiosity, and driven by love. After serving as a First Lieutenant in Vietnam in 1971, he went on to graduate from dental school in Lincoln, Nebraska, in May 1978. He practiced dentistry in Fort Morgan from 1978 until 2025, serving generations of patients with care, compassion, and a steady hand.
Bruce was more than a dentist—he was a dreamer and a doer, a builder and a traveler. A licensed small airplane pilot and advanced scuba diver, he explored the world with a sense of awe and a deep respect for its beauty. He was a gifted craftsman, known for his woodworking and the care he put into everything he built—from small projects all the way to log cabins in Eldora, Colorado, a place he cherished and taught his family to love as well.
He was also a talented jeweler, designing and creating pieces with precision and heart for those he loved most. Those creations will continue to shine with the beauty of his love and dedication.
Above all, Bruce was a devoted husband, a proud father, and a deeply loving grandfather. With his wife and daughters, he traveled the globe—intentionally, generously—teaching them to embrace the vastness of the world and the richness of the human experience. He lived by the values of honesty, integrity, and unconditional love, and he passed those values on through both his words and his actions.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 50 years, Ann Elizabeth Marron; his daughters, Frances Joan (Marron) Kelley, Louise Ann Marron, and Jesse Lynn (Marron) Jenkins; his grandchildren, Alice Ann Jenkins, Robert Maxwell Jenkins, and Orville Owen Marron; and his sister, Marcia (Marron) Hills. He was preceded in death by his parents, June and Alfred Marron.
A celebration of Bruce's life will be held on Saturday, May 24th at 1:00 p.m. at the United Methodist Church in Fort Morgan, Colorado. All who knew and loved him are welcome to attend.
