Bruce A. Sater, 64, longtime Logan County resident, passed away Thursday, June 16, 2016, at his home in Peetz following a lengthy illness. He was born April 30, 1952, in Longmont, CO, to Albert & Loretta Sater.

He served in the US Army during the Viet Nam conflict, though he never served in Viet Nam. Following his honorable discharge, Bruce worked as a machinist at the Colorado School of Mines for several years. He later operated a trucking company and took care of a fleet of trucks. On May 6, 2012, he married Jerri Hanson in Firestone, CO.

Bruce was a member of the American Legion. His favorite past time was fishing. He especially enjoyed fishing with his wife.

Survivors include his wife Jerri of Peetz; 3 children Marcus Sater of Arapahoe County, CO, Dionne Sater of Brighton, CO, and Jessica Ingleby of Aurora, CO; 1 brother, Danny Sater of Commerce City, CO; and 10 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents.

At Bruce's request, no formal funeral service will be held. A celebration of his life will be held at a 186 Naples Street in Firestone at 12:00 PM on Saturday, June 25, 2016. All of Bruce & Jerri's friends are invited to come. Cremation arrangements were entrusted to the Heer Mortuary & Crematory.
