Obituary

Bryan L. Gorrell, 53, life-long Morgan County area resident, died Saturday evening under hospice care at the Eben Ezer Lutheran Care Center in Brush. He was born October 4, 1957 in Ft. Morgan to Dale and Rose Gorrell. He married Barbara Frick on July 7, 1998 in Las Vegas, Nevada. They have made Morgan County their home since. Bryan worked for Safeway for 34 years. He retired in 2008 and opened his business, BB'S Elite Small Engine Repair. He was a member of Ducks Unlimited and BPOE #1143. He enjoyed bowling with his father, waterfowl hunting, drag racing, playing games and cards and especially spending time with his family and friends. He is survived by his wife, Barbara, of Brush; his children, Matthew, and wife, Alison of Oak Harbor, WA,, and their children, Tyler and Wyatt, Jenni Uhrick, and husband, Donny, of Wiggins, and their children, J.R., Tucker and Dakota Kolman, and Jay Wilson, and wife, Samantha, of Tucson, AZ, and their children, Shelbi Miller and Kannon Wilson; his brother Michael Gorrell, of Ft. Morgan, and his sister, Jody Taylor and husband, Ed, of Rio Rancho, NM, and his parents, Dale and Rose of Ft. Morgan. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Raymond and Marie Yost and Sam and Velma Gorrell. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday at 11:00 AM at the Heer & Dahl Mortuary Chapel in Ft. Morgan. The service will conclude at the chapel. Friends who wish may make memorial donations in Bryan's name in care of the Heer & Dahl Mortuary, 225 E. Platte Ave., Ft. Morgan, CO 80701.
