Obituary

Bryan Douglas Martin, age 58, passed away on Friday July 25, 2025, at his home in Goodrich, Colorado.  Bryan was born September 1, 1966, in Fort Morgan, CO to Clem and Ardyce (Sampson) Martin.  Bryan grew up in Northeast Colorado and lived most of his life in the Weldon Valley area.

After graduating from Weldon Valley High School and attending some college at Northeastern Junior College, he married his lifelong lovely partner, Shana Martin.  Together they raised their children, Jonathan Martin and Jessica Pineda while farming together for 18 years.  He was an amazing father, always there to provide love, guidance, laughter, and if needed a kick in the pants.  Farming was his passion in life, and he loved raising crops and caring for animals.  It was not uncommon for him to bring home a new animal from the livestock sale to his wife's surprise.  He loved teaching his children about farming and included them in many of his adventures on the farm out north.  He finished his career working at Sailsbury supply where his coworkers became family to him.  He enjoyed making deliveries to numerous dairies and farms where he became quick friends with many of the clients.  He became a Papa in 2019 where his heart found its true calling.  He loved his two granddaughters and found joy in all that he did with them.  He enjoyed camping with his family and road trips through the states.  At last count, we had traveled to 27 states together as a family who were his most valued asset in life.  His other passions included stock car racing, bull riding, NFL football, collecting coins, gambling, and car shows where he would talk about which muscle car he wanted to take home.  If we were ever in doubt, we would phone a friend; my husband, the children's dad, our nieces and nephews uncle, our granddaughters Papa and mostly friend to many.

Bryan was a friend to any person he met and made many lifelong friends who were more like family to him.  It was not unusual for him to lend a helping hand whether it was mechanicing, construction, landscaping, or simply being there when needed.  It was not unusual to find him wherever his friends were gathering, just waiting for the right opportunity to crack a joke or share a good laugh together.  He shared all of his adventures with his wife, and they were always together in all that they did.

Bryan is survived by Shana Martin of Goodrich, CO; Jonathan (Brylyn Bader) Martin of Wiggins, CO; Jessica (Cody) Pineda of Goodland, KS; mother Ardyce Martin and sister Gail (Jim) Wilkins of Weldona, CO; two granddaughters, six nieces and nephews, and numerous cousins.  He is preceded in death by his father Clem Martin.

A Celebration of Life will be held on August 16th at 4:00 p.m. at our home (24151 2nd Street, Goodrich).  We will be joining together to celebrate a life well lived and sharing memories together with family and friends.  The family will be providing dinner, and all are welcome to attend.
