Cameron Bruce Alexander, 32, life resident of Morgan County, passed away early Saturday, July 3, 2021, of injuries suffered in a motor vehicle crash.  He was born November 29, 1988, in Fort Morgan to Tammie & Mike Alexander.

Cameron graduated from Brush High School in 2007 and from Colorado State University in 2012.  At the time of his death, Cameron was a mechanical engineer at the Pawnee Station of Excel Energy.

Cameron was always the life of the event – no matter where he was at.  He loved supporting the community at various benefit auctions, hanging out with family & friends, listening to music, attending concerts, watching all sports, and shooting guns.  He was a member of the Moose Lodge of Morgan County.

Cameron loved people of all ages.  He had friends from the age of two to 96 and each and every one of them was special to him.  He particularly loved children and his nieces and nephews were the light of his life.  He loved teaching them about the farm and having them working along side of him as he was doing his "cow" things on the farm.

Cameron was a farmer from birth.  He wanted to be out there in the midst of things before he was even a year old.  Cameron learned to drive the tractor and combine at a very early age and worked long, hard hours during the summers, but was able to fit baseball in to have some fun in his childhood as well.  He also loved his cows and has built up a fairly large herd for himself.  The hard work as a youth gave him a very good work ethic to carry him into his adult years.

Survivors include his parents, Tammie & Mike Alexander; 2 sisters Mandy Ocanas and her husband, Al, and Jill Duffy and her husband, Brian; his maternal grandmother Pat Gleason; nephews, Ouray Ocanas, Travis Ocanas, and Cavanaugh Duffy, nieces, Kiana Martinez, Shea Ocanas, and McKenna Duffy, and great nephew, Xavier Martinez, and great niece, Aria Ocanas;  uncles, Dan Alexander, Greg, Brett, and Sean Gleason, great aunts, Sharon George, Linnea Wilson,  great uncles, Ron and Gary Peterson, plus many cousins, and special friend, Carol Livengood.

Preceding him in death were his paternal great grandmother, Eula Alexander, his paternal grandparents, Robert and Betty Alexander, his maternal great grandparents, Maurice and Edith Peterson, and Lloyd and Mary Gleason, and his maternal grandfather, Ron Gleason.

Cameron will be missed by his family, his concert friends, his Sunday morning breakfast group, and many other friends.

The family suggests everyone dress casually for the service.  Beetdigger, Broncos, Rockies, Yankees, and CSU attire would be appropriate, as that is what you would normally see Cameron dressed in.

Funeral services will be at the Brush High School Auditorium on Friday, July 9, at 11:00 AM.  Interment will follow at the Brush Memorial Cemetery.  Family prefers memorial gifts be given to the Cameron Alexander Memorial Fund with proceeds to be used for youth programs in the community.
