Candy Lee (Kramer) Barbey, took hold of our Lord's hand and entered the Kingdom of Paradise peacefully in the early morning of November 9, 2014, surrounded by her loving husband, family and loved ones in her home in Bagdad, AZ. She was 54. Candy was born on September 13, 1960, to LeRoy & Donna (Manning) Kramer in Denver. Candy was the oldest of four children. She grew up in the Denver area and attended Gateway High School. She graduated a year ahead of her class in 1977. On August 16, 1981, she met the love of her life, Ronald Barbey. Seven short weeks later they were married on October 4, 1981. They were blessed with two daughters that they love and adored very much, Chandra and Catrina. They were also blessed with two granddaughters, Kristine and Ashley. The Barbey family moved to Phoenix, AZ, in 1987. While living there, Candy worked as an optician technician and office manager for Nationwide Vision Center for over 10 years. Candy and her office staff were continuously #1 in sales. In 1995, the Barbeys moved to Brush to be closer to her family. While living in Brush, Candy worked, and help manage, the Brush Market until its closing in 2007. Candy & Ron moved to Bagdad, AZ, where they resided until Candy's passing. She loved to spend time with her family & friends. She enjoyed many different crafts, music, and going to church and worshiping the Lord. She loved to sing, and in her younger years playing guitar. Her greatest joy was her family. Survivors include her husband of 33 years, Ron Barbey; her daughters, Chandra (Brad) Jones and Catrina Barbey; two granddaughters, Kristine and Ashley; her parents, LeRoy & Donna Kramer, her mother-in-law, Pat Barbey; her siblings, LeRoy (Cindy) Kramer Jr., Randy (Teresa) Kramer, Betty Quinn, brothers - in -law Jerry (Gaby) Barbey and William E. (Suzanne) Barbey Jr. She is also survived by her nieces and nephews; Morgan, Zachary, Stacey, Brianna, Nicole, Jennifer, Brittani, Carissa and adopted sons and daughters. She is preceded in death by her grandparents, Nolan & Virginia Manning, Jess & Irene Clark, and her father-in-law Rev. William E. Barbey Sr. Funeral services will be Saturday, November 22, at 1:30 PM at the Heer Mortuary Chapel in Brush. Interment will be Monday, Nov 24, at 1:30 PM at the Brush Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be at the Heer Chapel on Friday from 2:30 - 4 PM. A memorial service will be held in Arizona at a later date.
