Obituary

Carl E. Frank, 88, longtime area resident, died Tuesday, April 19, 2011 at his home in Ft. Morgan. He was born March 1, 1923 in Kinsely, Kansas to Benjamin and Gertrude (Counterman) Frank. Carl moved to Fort Morgan from Ulysses, Kansas in 1953. On November 4, 1974 he married Twila Crist at the United Methodist Church in Ft. Morgan. Carl served his country in the United States Navy during WWII. He was a member of the American Legion, the DAV, the VFW and was a life member of the Ft. Morgan Elks Lodge. He enjoyed traveling, dancing and working in his yard. Survivors include his wife Twila of Ft. Morgan, two daughters, Diann Ross of Goodland, Kansas and Kay Weeks of Greeley, Colorado, one brother, Albert Frank of Farmington, New Mexico, three sisters, Glena Patterson of Cleveland, Oklahoma, Helen Klaus of Garden City, Kansas and Evelyn Philbrick of Deer Park, Texas, four grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Carl was preceded in death by his parents, and sisters, Lucille Foreman, Erma Jones, Anna Belle Workman, Rhoda Naab, Elsie Herman and Lilian Ratliff. . Memorial Services will be Wednesday, April 27, 2011 at 10:30 am at the United Methodist Church in Ft. Morgan. Inurnment will follow in Serenity Falls Columbarium. Memorial Gifts may be made to the American Heart Association at 1280 S. Parker Road, Denver, Colorado 80231.
