CARLOTTA COLLEEN BALADEZ, 70, of Orchard, died Sunday morning, August 29, 2010 at the North Colorado Medical Center Hospice Unit in Greeley. She was born August 10, 1940 in Effingham, IL, the oldest of 12 children born to Paul & Colleen (Hanson) Blake. The family moved to Colorado when she was very young. She married the love of her life, Salvador Baladez on June 29, 1958. Together they shared 52 wonderful years of marriage. Mrs. Baladez held several jobs throughout her life but she especially enjoyed working as a waitress. She was a member of Saint Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Weldona and the V.F.W. Auxiliary Post 2121, Greeley. She enjoyed collecting antiques, going for walks with her friends and visiting with people. She was truly a woman of integrity and loyalty. She was a wonderful wife and she was completely dedicated to her family. On August 10th she celebrated her 70th birthday with special friends and family in attendance, which included her brother, Lanny and her sisters, Zela and Valerie. Mrs. Baladez is survived by her husband, Salvador Baladez of Orchard and her daughter, Sally Baladez of Greeley; four brothers, Phil, Randy, Shannon, and Lanny; six sisters, Janet, Veronica, Zela, Paulette, Valerie, and Shawn; three grandchildren, Kenneth & his wife, Jennifer, Ashleigh & her husband, J.R., and Rebecca; and seven great grandchildren, Jayleigh, Jazzy, Evan, Quinlin, Emilio, Trent, and Jade. She was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Krista; and her son, Craig. Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be Friday, September 3rd at 10:00 AM followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 AM, both at Saint Helena's Catholic Church, 917 West Seventh Ave. in Fort Morgan. Interment will follow in Memory Gardens in Fort Morgan. Memorials may be made in Carlotta's name in care of the Heer & Dahl Mortuary, 225 E. Platte Ave., Fort Morgan, CO 80701
