Carmen K. Grantham, 55, passed away Wednesday, June 1, 2011, at the Colorado Plains Medical Center in Fort Morgan. She was born November 23, 1955 in Ogallala, NE, to Max & Kathryn Grantham. Carmen graduated from Holyoke High School in 1974. She continued her education and had been working as a licensed practical nurse until health issues forced her to retire. She was a member of the Lutheran Church in Holyoke and was in the process of changing her membership to the Trinity Lutheran Church in Fort Morgan. She enjoyed reading, working on the computer, and spending time with her dog. Survivors include her parents, John & Kathryn Roth of Snyder; 2 sons, Aaron Hewitt and Bill Hewitt both of Sterling; 1 brother, Steve Grantham of Colorado Springs; 2 sisters, Sandi Ertle of Sterling, and Debbie Helgoth of Holyoke; 1 step-sister, Roxanne Plantz of Brush; 2 step-brothers, Arlie Krueger of Holyoke, and Tim Krueger of Minot, ND; and her boyfriend Jerry Custer of Sterling. She was preceded in death by her Father, Max Grantham; 1 brother, Joe, and 1 sister, Cheri. A memorial service will be held Monday, June 6, 2011, at 10:30 AM at the Trinity Lutheran Church, 800 Sherman Street in Fort Morgan. Inurnment will be at the Mt. Hope Cemetery in Imperial, NE.
