Carol S. Barlow, 96, passed away peacefully on May 11th, 2024, in Ft. Morgan, CO. Members of her loving family were with her.

She was born on April 9, 1928, in San Fernando, California to Herman L. Shellenberger and Nellie Fay Day Shellenberger who preceded her in death when Carol was three days old. She was raised by Daddy Kirk and Mama Grace until her father remarried Mable Smiley Shellenberger when she was five years old. She graduated from North Hollywood High School.

She was a loving mother to Cyndi Lewis (Matthew), Karen Johnson (Jim), Lynne McReynolds (David), Rob "Goob" Gumaer, Jackie L'Heureux (Ed), and Gary Gumaer (Brenda). She was preceded in death by her first husband, Robert "Bob" Gumaer who died in 1965. Carol was preceded in death by her second husband, Benjamin Barlow in 1975. Later in life Don Riddle was her beloved companion until he preceded her in death in 2000.

Carol was deeply and generously committed to her friends in various groups in the community. Carol loved camping, fishing, traveling, Broncos and Rockies. She owned a successful business, Finmark Advertising Specialties for many years. In the last year and a half of her life she was a resident at Valley View Villa where she was affectionally referred to as the "game lady with a blue tooth". It was here that she played games daily on her iPad with her daughters.

Carol is survived by her four daughters, two sons as well as nine grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, three great-great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Jennifer Lewis Danielson. Carol leaves behind a legacy of compassion, selflessness, and dedication. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and the community she touched.
