Carol Jean Savage, 78, of Brush, Colorado, passed away Wednesday, May 27, 2020.  Carol was born in Eckley, Colorado on February 27, 1942 to Ernest and Evelyn (Rogers) Spelts.

On May 20, 1961 Carol married James (Jim) Savage in Holyoke, CO.  They lived in Wray, CO, then moved to Goodland, KS for 31 years.  They then lived in Walden, CO from 1998-2010.  After losing Jim, Carol moved to Brush to be close to her sons and families.

Carol enjoyed working in her yard, puzzles, and knitting with the prayer shawl group in Walden.  She also enjoyed crocheting, baking, and loved being around her sons and their families.

She is survived by her son Frank and wife Dina of Brush; brother Oscar and wife Jan; Grandchildren, Jamie Savage, Anthony Wade Savage, Kezia Savage, Bill D. Savage, Amanda (Savage) Orr and husband Keith, Chandra Savage, Tony McCabe and wife Aly, Brandi McCabe, Micheal Hinojos and Lucia Campa Hinojos, and several great-grandchildren.

Carol was preceded in death by her parents; husband Jim; sons, Marty and Sidney Joe; grandson Bill Savage; granddaughter Chasity Savage; three brothers and one sister.

A Memorial Graveside Service was held June 3, 2020 at 10:00 AM at the Chappell Cemetery in Chappell, Nebraska.   Carol was laid to rest by her husband Jim.
