Caroline M. Kauffman, 75, life resident of Morgan County, passed away Friday, December 12, 2008, at the North Colorado Medical Center in Greeley. She was born September 5, 1933, in Fort Morgan to Henry J. & Katie Weimer. She graduated from Fort Morgan High School in 1951. ON October 12, 1952, Caroline (Carol) married Albert L. Kauffman in Raton, NM. The Kauffman family farmed in Morgan County until they retired. Carol had a special interest in antiques – both shopping for them and collecting them. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family. Survivors include her 7 children, Jim Kauffman, Diana Waldron, and Ron Kauffman all of Brush; Albert Kauffman Jr. of Atwood, CO, Jan Potterf of Snyder, Ann Forbes of Fort Morgan, and Clay Kauffman of Las Vegas, NV; 1 sister and 1 brother, Lillian Fritzler and Don Weimer both of Fort Morgan; 14 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert; 1 son, Daniel; 2 brothers Robert Weimer and Ed Weimer; and her parents. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, December 17, 2008, at 11:00 AM at the Trinity Baptist Church, 345 Princeton Street in Brush. Interment will follow in the Brush Memorial Cemetery.
