Carolyn M. Christensen, 77, longtime resident of Morgan County, passed away Saturday evening, February 23, 2008, at Swedish Medical Center in Englewood, CO. She was born December 18, 1930, in Scottsbluff, NE, to Henry & Florence Meyer. The Meyer family moved to Colorado shortly after Carolyn was born.. She graduated from Hillrose High School in 1948. She attended Colorado University in Boulder. On June 18, 1950, Carolyn married Dean Christensen in Brush. Carolyn was an avid Denver Bronco fan. She was an active member of the Bethlehem Lutheran Church until failing health issues forced her to curtail her activities. Carolyn was devoting to spending time with her family. Survivors include her loving husband, Dean, of Snyder, CO; 5 children, Maren Christensen of Loveland, CO; Robert Christensen of Hillrose, CO; Paul Christensen of Snyder, CO, M J Rhoades of Fort Morgan, CO, and Marcia Parent of Colorado Springs, CO; 3 sisters, Barbara George of Leis Summit, MO, Frances Reidle of Flora Vista, NM, and Joan Haddock of Boulder, CO; 16 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. A memorial service will be held Thursday, February 28, 2008, at 11:00 AM at the Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 603 Custer Street in Brush. The service will conclude at the church.
