Carolyn Jane Greenwood, age 85, of Brush, Colorado, passed away peacefully on September 7, surrounded by loved ones. Born on April 20, 1940, in Brush, Colorado, to Sara and Reinhold Koehler, she was the sister of Donald, Pat, and Danny. Carolyn spent her childhood in Brush, attending Brush schools until she met the love of her life, David Greenwood. They married on August 11, 1957.

Together they shared 48 years, raising five children as a military family, moving frequently before retiring and settling back in Brush. Carolyn was a wife, military spouse, mother, and childcare provider for many families in Brush for 25 years. Outside of work, she enjoyed camping with family, collecting dolls, playing Bingo, visiting friends, and attending Snyder Bible Church. She found joy in taking pictures of her family and her dogs.

Carolyn is survived by daughters Valerie and Scott Redler, Stacy and Margo Brown, Dea and Bill Holt, and sons Scott and Cindy Greenwood, and Colin and Roberta Greenwood; eleven grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and siblings Pat and Delbert Hillyer and Dan and Dodie Koehler. She was preceded in death by her husband, David Lloyd Greenwood; parents, Reinhold and Sara Koehler; and brother, Donald and Lily Koehler.

A memorial service will be held on Monday, September 15, at 11:00 a.m. at Snyder Bible Church, 22622 Fisher Avenue, Snyder, Colorado.

Carolyn will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
