Carolyn Koehler, 90, of Brush, died Monday, November 22, 2021 at Eben Ezer Lutheran Care Center in Brush. She was born October 26, 1931 in Independence, MO to Dean A. & Maurine (Hines) McCord.

Carolyn married Albert Koehler on November 19, 1950 in Denver. They made their home in Brush where they raised their three children then Carolyn worked at B&B Pharmacy for a short time before working as a receptionist at the Brush Clinic for 14 years. She also worked as a waitress at Lutes and Market on The Hill and lastly at Drovers as a baker.

Carolyn was a member of Immanuel Congregational Church in Brush. In her younger years she enjoyed music and dancing; especially Dutch Hop and Polka. She was an outstanding cook and baker; especially when it came to her delicious pies. She also enjoyed birdwatching, doing crossword puzzles, quilting, traveling, and walking her dog. Carolyn especially loved time with family and friends and she loved to host family gatherings and meals.

She is survived by her husband, Albert Koehler of Brush; her three children, Gary (Marilyn) Koehler and Jodeen Koehler, all of Brush, and Kim Koehler of Fort Morgan; one sister, Delores Warner of Denver, six grandchildren, seven grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandson.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Visitation will be at the Heer Mortuary Chapel in Brush on Thursday, December 2 ^nd from 4 – 6 PM.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM on Friday, December 3 ^rd at Immanuel Congregational Church, 209 Everett Street in Brush. Interment will follow in the Brush Memorial Cemetery.
