Carolyn Cheryl Vickers, 74, passed away on February 23, 2022 at her home.

She was born December 7, 1947 in Lamar, CO to Claude & Ruby Cheney.

Carolyn was active as a youth, being involved in band and 4H. She showed dairy animals at the local fair. Carolyn's parents installed a great work ethic in her. She and her sister had to get up early every morning and milk the cows before they were allowed to go to school. After high school, Carolyn attended and earned her Masters Degree from Colorado State University in business. She then taught at Lamar Community College and Morgan Community College. Carolyn worked for Baby Bear Hugs in Fort Morgan before joining her husband at the insurance agency. "Humble" is the best way to describe Carolyn. She detested any type of spotlight. She was more than content staying behind the scenes so others could thrive.

Survivors include sons, Larry (Misty) of Wiggins, Chris of Brush, KC of Fort Morgan; daughter in law, Michelle of Fort Morgan; one sister, Cindy Ferree (Steve) of Limon; one nephew, Ben of Limon; two nieces, Katie of Colorado Springs, Beth of Parker; seven grandchildren, Alex (Shawn), Gabe, Amelia, Jathen, Jaren, Peyton, Gus, and one on the way, Owen; and two great grandchildren, Olivia and Madison.

A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, March 9, 2022 at 11:00 AM at Wiggins Community Church.
