Cassidy Shane Park, passed away unexpectedly on April 25, 2022 in San Diego, CA. He was born November 12, 2002, to Shane and Nichole Park in Wheatridge, CO. Cassidy was the oldest of five children, having two sisters and two brothers. Cassidy lived in Thornton, CO with his family until 2014, when they moved to Roggen, CO. He attended Cardinal Community Academy until 9 th grade, when he started high school at Weld Central High School in Keenesburg, CO. In 2019, he and his family moved to Wiggins, CO.
Cassidy continued to attend Weld Central High School until he graduated in the Spring of 2021. In December 2020 Cassidy joined the US Navy, not long after his 18 th birthday. In June 2021 he shipped off to the Navy Boot Camp in Great Lakes, IL, where he graduated in September 2021. He spent three months there after attending Navy A School. In December 2021 he was stationed at Naval Base San Diego, serving with Commander, Mine Division Twelve.
Cassidy was an avid fisherman, any spare time he had he could usually be found with a pole and his tackle box in hand headed to some local fishing hole. He loved hunting and anything to do with the outdoors. He was an active athlete in High School, he lettered in baseball, wrestling, football, FFA and academics. He loved hanging out with his friends talking about cars, playing video games, and of course, fishing. He was a dedicated big brother, taking time to watch his sisters play softball and basketball; he even helped coach his little brothers in baseball and wrestling.
Cassidy is survived by his parents, Shane and Nichole; sisters, Averie (17), Bailee (15); brothers, Oliver (12), and Emmett (10); and grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins and dear friends. He was preceded in death by his uncle, James Newcomer; and cousin, Margret Memmott, along with great grandparents, uncles and aunts.
Cassidy will be missed dearly by all his family, friends, fellow Sailors and his community.

Visitation hours will be on Sunday, May 8 th , 2022, from 4 – 6 PM at the Heer Mortuary Chapel, 225 E. Platte Ave., Fort Morgan, CO 80701.
Cassidy's Celebration of life services will be on Monday, May 9 th , 2022, at 11:00 AM at the Southeast Weld County Fairgrounds, 7758 County Road 59, Keenesburg, CO 80643.
Following the services, a luncheon will be served at the American Legion Post 180, 595 Railroad Ave., Keenesburg, CO 80643 (across from the fairgrounds).
Graveside services for family and close friends will be Tuesday, May 10 th , 2022, at 10:30 AM at Fort Logan National Cemetery, 4400 W. Kenyon Ave., Denver, CO 80236.
