Charles Alan Burton, 79, of Ft. Morgan died Tuesday, August 19, 2008 at the Sunset Manor Care Center in Brush. He was born March 22, 1929 in Denver, Colorado to Charles and Margaret (Blakeley) Burton. Charles married Dottie Dawes on July 22, 1996 in Thornton, Colorado. Burton moved to Ft. Morgan four years ago from Northglenn, Colorado. He was a member of the VFW and Eagle's Lodge both in Northglenn. Charles enjoyed traveling and playing golf. Survivors include his wife Dottie of Ft. Morgan, one son, Charles Burton of Leadville, one daughter, Vickie Kirk of Denver, two step-daughters, Laurie Wall of Conifer and Debbie Johnson of Ft. Morgan, one step-son, Robert Price of Reno, Nevada, four grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Charles was preceded in death by his parents and his sister Ruth Irene Snyder. No memorial services are scheduled at this time. Inurnment will be Monday, August 25, 2008 at 1:00 PM at the Fort Logan National Cemetery in Denver.
