Charles R. Fields Jr., 60, passed away Tuesday, October 5, 2010, at his home near Brush. He was born September 30, 1950 in Natchez, Mississippi to Charles & Jayne Fields. He served in the United States Air Force for 2 years. Charles worked as a carpenter for many years. He later changed occupations and drove a truck. In 1998 Charles began driving for Dairy Farmers of America. Health issues forced him to retire a couple of years ago. On June 3, 1989, Charles married Jeanne Durlin in Oklahoma. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Brush. Charles enjoyed being the care-taker of his wife. Survivors include his wife, Jeanne of Brush; his mother, Jayne Fields of Jackson, Mississippi; 2 brothers, Tommy Payne of Maryland and Charles Payne of Gulf Port, Mississippi; and 3 sisters, Sue Ellen Payne of NC, Katie of Houston, TX, and Maura of Jackson, Mississippi. He was preceded in death by his father. Memorial service arrangements are pending.
