Charles Leroy Holmes (Leroy or Sonny), longtime resident of Wiggins Colorado, passed away on September 9, 2024 at his residence South of Wiggins. Leroy was born February 4, 1942 to Beatrice Hamilton Holmes and Charles Holmes.   He is preceded in death by his wife Belva, his mother and father and his sister Lois Ann from Denver.

Leroy married Belva Bringelson on September 20, 1964. Leroy left the army after his father passed away in a car accident to farm on the home place.

Leroy's hobbies included playing pool, gambling at Blackhawk with Belva, shooting guns, hunting and watching sports.

Leroy was a loving father and husband. Leroy is survived by two daughters Crystal and Kim who live in Denver. He has four grandchildren Ashley Schreiner (Husband: Dan Schreiner), Derik Beauprez, Madison Netuschil, and Brooklyn Netuschil.  He has three great grandchildren who live in Avon Ohio.
