Charles B. Wynne Jr.,55, died March 26, 2008 in a farming accident near his home in Orchard. He was born January 18, 1953 in Sarasota, Florida to Charles and Marilyn (Crowley) Wynne. Charles married Sandra K. Slife on August 3, 1990 in Lakewood, Colorado. They moved to Orchard about six years ago from Littleton, Colorado. Charles was member of the SCCA Car Club and was an avid racing fan and competitor. He raced cars on local dirt tracks around the area and watched and recorded races on TV. He attended several major races in his life including the Indianapolis 500. Survivors include his wife Sandra Wynne of Orchard, his father, Charles Wynne Sr. of Florida, three daughters, Esther Simkavitz and Terry Simkavitz both of Denver and Nancy Pilcher of Pueblo, one brother, Terry Wynne of Memphis, Tennessee and nine grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his mother and one sister, Susan Wynne. Memorial Services will be Friday, April 4, 2008 at 1:00 PM at the Heer Mortuary Chapel in Ft. Morgan. Services will conclude at the mortuary. Friends who wish may make memorial gifts in Charles' name to a memorial fund set up at the Bank of Colorado in Ft. Morgan. The Heer Mortuary in Ft. Morgan is in charge of the arrangements.
