Chester "Chet"
Windsheimer
Feb 3, 1960 — Jun 12, 2020
Brush
Chester "Chet" Ray Windsheimer, 60, of Brush, Colorado, passed away too early on June 12, 2020 at the Highlands Ranch Hospital after battling some health issues.
Chet was born in Everett, Washington, to Vernon and Elaine (Cowen) Windsheimer on February 3, 1960. Chet grew up on a farm and dairy near Fort Morgan, Colorado.
Chet enjoyed life to the fullest. He was a skilled heavy equipment operator, farmer, truck driver, and fabricator. He was a hard worker and a perfectionist which showed in his craftsmanship and excavation jobs. Chet enjoyed a good scenic drive around the local area to keep up on what was going on, and he was always up for a ride on his four-wheeler or side-by-side. He always made time for friends that would stop by for a good conversation and a beer or two. Mostly, Chet enjoyed spending evenings with his son, Derek, and daughter-in-law, Amy (Johnson). Most of all his heart melted for his two granddaughters Cami and Carli. He would do most anything for them, even build the ultimate playground, let them style his hair, and paint his nails.
Chet will be missed by all who knew him well. He is survived by his son, Derek Windsheimer and family of Brush, Colorado, his father, Vernon Windsheimer, two sisters, and one brother all of Fort Morgan, Colorado.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Elaine.
Chet was not a funeral guy nor a people person for that manner; therefore, a celebration for Chet will be conducted in a way that will truly honor him. Thanks to all for your prayers and support as we truly appreciate it.
Memorial donations may be made to Heer Mortuary in Chet's name.
