Christopher Pierce Baughman, adopted son of Ben and Brenda Baughman, died on Sunday, December 5, 2010 in Grand Junction, Colorado from pneumonia combined with sleep apnea. He was born on May 24, 1989 in Colorado Springs, Colorado to Yvonne Baughman and moved to Fort Morgan in February of 1995 to join the Baughman family. Chris is survived by his parents Ben and Brenda Baughman and brothers, Jeremiah, Corey and Chris, by his birth mom Yvonne Baughman and his birth dad Malcolm Pierce, Grandfather Dave Baughman and Grandmother Pat Ginevra, and grandparents Ken and Ilene Satterfield. Chris was preceded in death by his brother Alex. There will be a viewing of Christopher on Thursday, December 16, 2010 from 5-7 PM at the Heer –Dahl Mortuary in Fort Morgan. The celebration of his life will be on Friday, December 17, 2010 at 10 AM at The Sanctuary located at 330 State Street. A burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery. Memorials may be sent to Heer-Dahl Mortuary to help the homeless services in Grand Junction that cared for Chris.
