Christopher Michael Hayes, 19, passed away in the emergency room of the East Morgan County Hospital in Brush on Tuesday evening, April 30, 2013, after extended health issues. He was born March 20, 1994, in Fort Morgan to Mark & Marilyn Hayes. Chris attended Woodlin Schools. He was a member of the Woodlin School FFA. Survivors include his Mother, Marilyn Arfsten; his Father, Mark Hayes of Fort Morgan; and his step-father, Steven Arfsten of Brush. Also by a brother James of Greeley, CO, and a sister Alissa Arfsten of Akron, CO; his grandparents, Barbara Chilcote of Wiggins, Garin Terrell of Hudson, CO; John & Lynette Arfsten of Brush; and his great grandmother, Muriel Sharp of Brush. He was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Matthew & David. Mass of Christian Burial will be at the Saint Isidore Catholic Church near Watkins, CO on Tuesday, May 7, at 10:30 AM. A Rosary will be recited at 10:00 AM at Saint Isidore Church. Interment will be at 1:00 PM at they Hoyt Cemetery south of Wiggins, CO. Visitation will be at the Heer Mortuary Chapel in Fort Morgan on Monday from 5:00 – 7:30 PM.
