Cindy L. Stieb, 62, passed away Wednesday, October 7, 2015, at the Eben Ezer Lutheran Care Center in Brush following a lengthy illness. She was born May 30, 1953, in Delta, CO, to Elmer & JoAnn Burkhardt. On August 20, 1969, Cindy married Lawrence J. Stieb. She has lived in Brush since that time. Cindy received her Associate in Science degree from Morgan Community College and worked as a handicap patient caregiver until her health forced her to retire. Cindy enjoyed oil & water color painting, reading, listening to Christian music, riding and being around horses and being with her cats. She especially enjoyed spending with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Survivors include her daughter, Miranda Herrera of Fort Morgan; her step-father, Owen Vaughn of Montrose, CO; a ½ brother, Tommy Vaughn of Montrose, CO; 10 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son, Timothy; her parents, and 2 brother, Bob and Michael. A memorial service will be held at the Life Fellowship Church in Fort Morgan on Friday, October 16, 2015, at 6:00 PM. The service will conclude at the church. A potluck reception will be held immediately after the service. Cremation arrangements are entrusted to the Heer Mortuary & Crematory.
