Clara Mae Morris, 89, life resident of Northeast Colorado, passed away Sunday, June 24, 2012, at her home in Brush. She was born May 1, 1923, in Yuma, CO, to Joseph & Dora Krout. Clara Mae married Raymond Morris on January 13, 1942, in Sidney, NE. In 1946 the Morris family bought a farm in Adams County. In 1980 they moved to Brush. Survivors include her three children, Jack, and his wife Nancy of Delta Junction, Alaska; Jerry, and his wife Laurie of Deer Trail, CO; and Katherine Morris of Brush; 4 grandchildren, Chad, Blain, Christopher and his wife Georgia, and Gidget Sharp; and 2 great grandchildren Tabatha and Tyler King. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ray; 1 sister,Cecile Stalsworth; 1 brother, Arthur Krout, and her parents. A memorial service of remembrance will be held Saturday, July 7, 2012, at 3:00 PM at the Heer & Dahl Mortuary Chapel in Brush. In lieu of flowers, friends who wish may make memorial gifts to their charity of the donor's choice.
