Claude M. Henry, 82, longtime Brush area resident, passed away Monday, October 9, 2007, at the North Colorado Medical Center in Greeley. He was born March 30, 1925, in Wainwright, Oklahoma, to Arthur & Susie Henry. When Claude was an infant, the Henry family came on the train to Akron, CO, and they walked to a homestead south of Akron, near Thurman, CO. Later the Henry family moved closer to Brush so that Claude could attend school in Brush. During WW II, Claude served in the US Navy. While living in California, Claude married Dorothy Toepfer. In 1991 the Henry's moved back to Brush. He was a member of the Moose Lodge of Morgan County and the VFW. He enjoyed golfing, fishing, and hunting. He loved working and working on his truck. Survivors include his wife, Dorothy of Brush; 3 children, Charles, Cynthia Burns, and Pamela Orcutt all of California; 9 grandchildren, and 5 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by five brothers, Ray, Roy, Palmer, Charles, and Paul. A memorial service will be held at the Heer Mortuary chapel in Brush on Monday, October 15, 2007, at 1:30 PM. The service will conclude at the mortuary.
