Claudetta "Marie" Sanchez, 76, longtime area resident, died Tuesday, December 16, 2014 at the Eben-Ezer Lutheran Care Center in Brush. Marie was born July 28, 1938 in Guthrie, Oklahoma, to Wiley and Anna (Geren) Luster. She married Jose Sanchez on March 25, 1966 in Lovington, New Mexico. He died earlier this year. She enjoyed woodworking, crocheting, and traveling. She also enjoyed going to the Denver Zoo and Museum. Survivors include children, Dala Barton, Tayna Rowton and husband John, Dion Barton and wife Carol, Wendy Garcia and Javier Baca, and Dacia Romero and husband Mark all of Fort Morgan, twelve grandchildren, and twenty-six great grandchildren. Marie was preceded in death by her husband Jose, brothers, Eddy, Joe, and Walkie Luster, and her parents. Memorial Services will be Friday, December 26, 2014 at 11:00 am the Heer Mortuary Chapel in Fort Morgan. Inurnment will follow in Memory Gardens.
