Clifford Dale Tibbetts, 70, passed away on August 7, 2026 at home surrounded by family and loved ones. Born on March 9, 1956, in Pueblo, Colorado, Clifford was a beloved father, son, and grandfather whose life was defined by his passion for family, drag racing, and hard work in the oil fields. 
Clifford is survived by his mother, Marion Tibbetts; his brother, Rodger Tibbetts; and his sister, Rhonda Keithline. He leaves behind his two devoted daughters, Rebecca Tibbetts and Carrie Tibbetts, and his sons-in-law, Jose Salazar Jr and Justin Ferguson. He was a proud grandfather to Elijo Barraza Jr., Elijah Barraza, Elias Barraza, Jose Salazar III, and Savannah Salazar. 
He was preceded in death by his father, Oscar Tibbetts, and his sister, Joyce Gibson. 
Clifford will be remembered fondly as a dedicated father, son, brother and grandfather. A passionate member of the drag racing community, he found great joy in the speed and camaraderie of the track. He was also known for his strong work ethic and years of service in the oil fields, where he built a reputation for reliability and skill. 
A Celebration of life will be held in the upcoming months to celebrate the life and memory of a great man. Further details will be available as we navigate this loss in the family.
