Cynthia S. Haney, 54, of Fort Morgan, died Thursday, January 1, 2008 at the Swedish Medical Center in Englewood, Colorado. Cindy was born January 16, 1954 in Elkhorn, Wisconsin. Her adoptive parents were Gordon and Drucilla (Votaw) York. She moved to Fort Morgan from California in 1994. She married Chris Haney on April 8, 1993 in Las Vegas, Nevada. Haney helped out at her children's school and ran the school store for a time. Cindy enjoyed reading to her kids, helping them with their homework, and taking them to the Mall. Survivors include, her husband, Chris Haney of Fort Morgan, two sons, Lewis Samuel Pittman III, who is in the Air Force in Okinawa, Japan and Scott Michael Pittman of Fort Morgan, her mother, Ceil York of California, adopted grandchildren, Jazmine Christine Haney and Sean Michael Haney both of Fort Morgan and two sisters, Debbie and Pam both of California. Cindy was preceded in death by her father, Gordon York and brother, Danny York. Memorial Services will be Wednesday, January 7, 2009 at 1:30 PM at the Heer Mortuary Chapel in Fort Morgan. Memorial Gifts may be made to either the National Kidney Foundation or to Services will conclude at the Mortuary.
