Obituary

Dakoda Kaye Prevost, age 20, of Fort Morgan, passed away suddenly on March 27, 2022. Dakoda was born June 1, 2001.

Dakoda graduated from Fort Morgan High School in 2019 and was attending Colorado State University working towards her Sports Management degree. She was a member of the Platte Valley Baptist Church. Dakoda's many jobs included Edwards Right Price Market, Candy's Dance Academy, It Works Sales Consultant and Star Athletic Club. Dakoda loved to teach dance, being outdoors, hiking, fishing, exercising, being with friends and attending concerts. She loved to bake and loved being an aunt to her Lily Belle and spoiling her and her cousin Taylor. But most of all, Dakoda loved her family.

Dakoda would light up every room she walked into. She will be remembered for her infectious smile and willingness to help anyone with anything. She lived life to the fullest and set an example for the rest of us to follow.

She is survived by her Mother, Kim Vinesett; Brother, Dillon Prevost and wife, Johanna; and niece, Lily; Sister, Darian Prevost; Nana, Judy Ruppel; Aunt, Kerrie McAlister and husband Lance; Cousins, McKenzie, Brayden, and Taylor; Uncle Casey Ruppel and wife Lisa; Cousins, Ciera, Taylar, Chase, Kaci and Kaitlyn; Uncle, Jack Spotz and wife, Jade; Cousins, Robby, Shane and Bailey; Aunt Missy Erker and husband, Mike; cousins, Tara, Lindsey, Brandon and their families; Uncle, Robert Prevost and wife, Kim; Cousins, Megan and Mikayla; Aunt Val Chapman and husband, John; Cousins, Jay, Cassandra, Kendra and their families, Carol Prevost and a vast number of other family members.

Dakoda was proceeded in death by her, father Kevin Prevost; Papa, Donald Ruppel; Great Grandparents, Harold and Dorothy Spotts; Grandfather, Bill Prevost; and Cousins, Chris Spotz and Kendall Jones.

There will be a celebration of this beautiful life at Platte Valley Baptist Church. 22750 Highway 34, Fort Morgan on Saturday April 2, 2022 at 10:30 AM with graveside services to follow at the Fort Morgan Cemetery. The family would like guests to bring a note or write a story of your best memory of Dakoda.
