Nicole E. Harris, 38, and her step-daughter, Dakota M. Harris 15, of Wiggins, died Saturday, May 26, 2012 from injuries they sustained in an ATV accident near Orchard. Nicole was born February 17, 1974, in Fort Morgan to David & Jean Harrington. She graduated from Strasburg High School in 1992. Nicole has lived in Morgan County since 2007. She married Travis Harris on March 1, 2008 in Fort Morgan. Nicole enjoyed singing and being with her family. Dakota was born November 7, 1996, in Greeley to Travis & Laceen Harris. She just completed her freshman year at Wiggins High School. Nicole loved to play volleyball, care for babies, and work with cattle and horses. Nicole is survived by her husband, Travis Harris of Wiggins; 5 daughters, Kiera Moore, Faythe Harris, Kassidy Moore, Makayla Harris and Lakota Moore, all of Wiggins; her father, David Harrington of Strasburg, CO; her maternal grandmother, Marguerite Wright of Brush and several aunts and uncles. Nicole was preceded in death by her mother, Jean Harrington. Dakota is survived by her father, Travis Harris of Wiggins; her mother, Laceen Bolin of Greeley; 5 sisters, Kiera Moore, Faythe Harris, Kassidy Moore, Makayla Harris and Lakota Moore, all of Wiggins; 2 step-sisters, Hannah Bolin and Alisha Bolin both of Amarillo, TX; her grandparents, Jim & Linda Roberts of LaVeta, CO; Gail & Starr Harris of Lafayette, CO; Gladys Gilmore of Collins, MO, Charlie Lewis and Irene Gee both of Rocky Ford, CO, and Hattie Roberts of Pueblo, CO. Funeral services for Nicole & Dakota will be Thursday, May 31, 2012, at 10:30 AM at the Wiggins Events Center. Interment will follow in the Hoyt Cemetery. Visitation will be at the Heer & Dahl Mortuary Chapel in Fort Morgan on Wednesday from 2 – 6 PM.
