Dale W. Lee, 86, passed away Monday, May 2, 2011, at the East Morgan County Hospital in Brush. He was born February 27, 1925, in Winona, MN, to Hedwig (Hadey) and William Lee. Dale was raised in Winona where he graduated for high school. Following his graduation, Dale enlisted in the US Navy where he served in the Pacific during WW II. After his discharge, Dale attended, and graduated from, Chillicothe Business College in Chillicothe MO. On November 15, 1947, Dale married Patricia Ann Eiberger in Chillicothe, MO. They moved to Mexico, MO, where Dale was employed with Sinclair Pipeline. He was transferred to the Brush community, where the Lee family lived most of their married life. Sinclair Pipeline went thru several name changes and Dale retired in 1986 from UNOCAL. Dale was an active member of Saint Mary's Catholic Church where he taught CCD classes for many years. He was a member of the American Legion Sagebrush Post #68 and was one of the founding members of Bunker Hill Country Club. He also was a volunteer for the Meals on Wheels program in Brush. Dale enjoyed playing golf and reading. He loved to follow all sports to the fullest and was especially a big fan of the Colorado Rockies. He was also an avid bike rider with his late wife, Patricia. Survivors include his children, Brendan, and his wife Gretchen Lee; Michael, and his wife Rhonda Lee; Kevin, and his wife Julie Lee; Mary Alice, and her husband, Mike Blake; Patricia, and her husband Dwight Johnson; and Bridget, and her husband Curt Kolakowski; 10 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife Patricia, who died September 29, 2010, and a son Damien (Daniel), and his parents. A rosary and vigil service will be held at 7:00 PM Friday, May 6, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Brush. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, May 7, at St. Mary's Catholic Church with Reverend Frank Lomica officiating. Interment will follow in the Brush Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be at the Heer & Dahl Mortuary Chapel on Friday from 3 – 5 PM. Friends who wish may make memorial gifts to the East Morgan County Library or to St. Mary's Catholic Church c/o Heer & Dahl Mortuary.
