Daniece Deon Drew, of Fort Morgan, passed away Wednesday, July 12, 2023 at the East Morgan County in Brush, just two and a half weeks shy of turning 91 years young.

Daniece was born in Fort Morgan on July 30, 1932, to Daniel & Helen (Lester) Drew. She attended Fort Morgan schools and graduated and then attended Manhattan Christian College. Daniece worked in the retail industry for most of her life.

She was a member of the former First Baptist Church in Fort Morgan where she taught Sunday School and was a Deaconess for many years. She was also a member of the D.A.R.

Daniece was preceded in death by her parents, Daniel & Helen Drew; her only sister, Evelyn Sagel; her nephews, Zane Simmonds, and Dan Gawith; and her great nephew, Daniel Simmonds.

Survivors include her niece, Pat Gawith and her children, Kim Gawith and Kirk Gawith; niece, Lorna Simmonds and her children, Zane Simmonds Jr. and Charlene Holbeck and her husband, Randy.

Funeral services will be Friday, July 21st at 10:00 AM at the Heer Mortuary Chapel in Fort Morgan. Interment will follow in Riverside Cemetery in Fort Morgan.
