Daniel Aguilar Rios, 68, of Fort Morgan, CO, was called home to be with his Lord and Savior on Monday, April 5, 2021 after fighting a hard battle with lymphoma.

Daniel was born in Guanajuato, México on October 24th, 1952 to Juan and Josefa Aguilar.

He will forever be remembered for his faith and love for our Lord Jesus while attending Oracion and church events. Daniel worked for Cargill beef for 33 years, retiring in 2015. Many people remember Daniel for his dedication to the Clavis Club, arranging dances and events. He enjoyed sports, music, playing pool, and working on his garden.

He is survived by his wife, Maria Dolores Aguilar; his kids, Daniel Aguilar Jr, Monica Lopez (Armando) Juan Aguilar (Jessica) Claudia Melendez, Alejandro Melendez (Leticia) and Elizabeth Aldama; grandkids, Sabrina Lopez, Brian Arreola, Stefanie Lopez, Makaylee Aguilar, Uriel Lopez, Arian Aguilar, Osvaldo Melendez, David Melendez, Alex Melendez; his brothers, Amparo Aguilar, Alfredo Aguilar, Juan Aguilar (Sabina), Efrain Aguilar (Veronica); and sisters, Chela Aguilar, Lydia Vega (Silvano), Juana Galan (Manuel), Mari Estrada (Jorge).

Visitation will be on Thursday April 8th from 4pm-6pm at Heer Mortuary in Fort Morgan with recitation of the Holy Rosary to follow at 6pm.

A service celebrating his life will be at Saint Helena's Catholic Church in Fort Morgan on Friday, April 9th at 10:30 am. Interment will follow in Memory Gardens Cemetery.
