Daniel Dean Wellmann, lost his battle with cancer, due to HPV, on January 29th, after a ten month battle.
He was born September 2, 1961 to Orville and Jean McBride Wellmann in Scottsbluff, Nebraska.
Dan graduated from Aims Community College. He worked for Kent News agency, 7-Eleven, Home Depot, the railroad, the United States post office, and was town clerk for Log Lane Village.
Dan enjoyed camping, trivia, working on cars, and meeting people. He had a gift for gab!
He is survived by his father, his stepmom Joan Frick of Fort Morgan; 3 brothers and their spouses, Larry and Jeannie of Manitou Springs, Steve and Carleen of Franklin, Tennessee, Nick and Tammy of Scottsbluff, Nebraska; seven sisters, Penny Monte of Fort Morgan, Carol Harvey of Cookeville, Tennessee, Marcia and John Hale of Fort Morgan, Janice and Steve Hamburger of Scottsbluff, Nebraska, Rita and Pat Claar of Arvada, Glenda and Chad Stoever of Hamburg, Pennsylvania, Gail and Jeff Brown Cheyenne, Wyoming; one stepsister, Barb Frick of Arizona; many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews!
Dan was preceded in death by his mother, grandparents, two brother-in-laws, many aunts, uncles and cousins, a niece and nephew.
A Memorial service will be held July 11, 2021 at 11:00 AM at the Optimist Park, 100 Vickie St., Fort Morgan.
