Danny L. Alexander, 56, longtime Brush resident, died Saturday, May 19, 2012 at the Eben-Ezer Lutheran Care Center. He was born September 29, 1955 in Akron, Colorado to Don and Dorothy (Campbell) Alexander. In 1973 he married Deb Foos in Brush. Danny loved his family and spending time with them. He worked for Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railroad for 38 years as a track inspector, and has many lifelong friends he is also leaving behind. He was an excellent athlete in high school and his early adulthood. He enjoyed model trains and watching sports, particularly the Denver Broncos. Survivors include his wife, Deb of Brush; his mother, Dorothy of Fort Morgan; two daughters, Stacy Johnson and husband Kent of Omaha, Nebraska and their children, Luke and Cassidy; and Nicole Alexander and husband Chris LaPorte and their children, Caleb, Katlyn, Ethan and Jonah; three brothers, Donnie Alexander and wife Diane of Brush, Charles Alexander and wife Rose of Brush and Ron Alexander and wife Joanna of Hastings, Nebraska, his mother-in-law, Gladys Alford of Plattsmouth, Nebraska and many nieces and nephews. Danny was preceded in death by his father, Don in 1978. A memorial service will be Wednesday, May 23, 2012 at 10:30 am at the Heer & Dahl Mortuary Chapel in Brush. Inurnment will follow at the Brush Memorial Cemetery Columbarium.
