Danny Urdiales, a cherished husband, father, grandfather, son, and brother, peacefully passed away on January 25, 2025, at the age of 80, surrounded by his family in Fort Morgan, Colorado. He was the cornerstone of his family, celebrated for his warmth, generosity, and uplifting spirit. Over the past 20 years, Danny courageously battled a form of interstitial lung disease. Born on November 13, 1944, in Scottsbluff, Nebraska, he called Fort Morgan home for the last 50 years. After graduating from Morrill High School in Nebraska in 1963, he served in the United States Navy from 1964 to 1967, receiving an honorable discharge.

Following his military service, Danny joined Century Housing Corporation in Fort Morgan, where he manufactured modular homes. In 1991, he became a licensed real estate agent and worked at Zwetzig Realty until 2003, when he established his own brokerage, Urdiales Realty, alongside his son Brian. Danny was passionate about assisting first-time homebuyers and had the joy of selling homes to multiple generations within families. His favorite moments were spent working with his son.

Danny loved visiting the beaches in Mexico with his family and was a devoted Nebraska Cornhuskers and Denver Broncos fan. He enjoyed traveling throughout the region to support his grandchildren at various sporting events. In his later years, he preferred the comfort of home, often watching Hallmark movies and sharing morning coffee with his wife, Eleanor.

Danny's unwavering love and support for his family were evident every day of his life. He is survived by his wife, Eleanor Urdiales, of Fort Morgan; his son, Brian Urdiales, and his partner, Jeni Elrick, of Fort Morgan; his son, Aaron, and daughter-in-law, Sheri Urdiales, of Highlands Ranch, CO; grandchildren Keenan and Ella Urdiales of Spearfish, SD; grandchildren Aucencio (Ace) and Siena Urdiales of Highlands Ranch, CO; guardian of Shayne Martinez of Greeley, CO; stepmother Consuelo Urdiales of Scottsbluff, NE; brothers George Urdiales of Mitchell, NE; Manuel Jr. (Sophie) Urdiales of Denver, CO; Domingo (Debora) Urdiales of Scottsbluff, NE; David (Jackie) Urdiales of Denver, CO; Steve (Carolyn) Urdiales of Denver, CO; sisters Carmen Longoria of Lincoln, NE; Lupe (Robert) Sabala of Scottsbluff, NE; Annie (Roman) Cano of Scottsbluff, NE; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Manuel and Ermelina Urdiales; brothers Jesse, Michael, and Paul; brother-in-law Steve Longoria; and sister-in-law Sandra Urdiales.

A celebration of Danny's life will take place on Saturday, February 8, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Gene Doty Senior Center, located at 307 Linda Street, Fort Morgan, CO 80701. Attendees are encouraged to wear Nebraska red in honor of Danny. The family will also attend Mass at Saint Helena Catholic Church on Sunday, February 9, at 10:00 a.m. to commemorate his life.
