DARRELL LEON KLIESEN, 53, of Fort Morgan, died unexpectedly Friday afternoon, July 28th in the Emergency Room at Colorado Plains Medical Center in Fort Morgan. Kliesen was born in Burlington, CO on October 27, 1952 to Leon and Dorothy (Dreitz) Kliesen. The family moved to Fort Morgan when he was ten years old. He attended Fort Morgan schools and graduated from Fort Morgan High School with the class of 1970. After high school Kliesen attended CSU. Mr. Kliesen was a member of Saint Helena Catholic Church in Fort Morgan and was also a member of the Knights of Columbus. He enjoyed riding his Harley, and he had a great interest in Nascar. He also enjoyed bowling and camping. His family was also very important to him. Kliesen is survived by his son Brent Kliesen of Fort Morgan, his daughter McKenzie Kliesen of Greeley; his mother, Dorothy Kliesen of Aurora; his brother, Dennis Kliesen of Mission Viejo, CA; his sister, Jody Grosshans of Aurora; and his companion, Carolyn Lebsock of Fort Morgan. He was preceded in death by his father. Visitation will be Wednesday from 4-6 PM at the Heer & Jolliffe Mortuary Chapel in Fort Morgan, followed by a Rosary Vigil at 6:00 PM, also at the chapel. Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday at 10:30 AM at Saint Helena Catholic Church in Fort Morgan. Interment will follow in Memory Gardens Cemetery in Fort Morgan.
