David V. Brungardt, age 67 of Grand Forks, ND passed away on Monday, June 10, 2024 at the Coteau De Prairie Hospital in Sisseton, SD.

David (Dave) Virgil Brungardt was born on March 26, 1957, in Denver, CO, the son of Virgil and Virginia (Matson) Brungardt. Dave grew up in the Denver, CO area and graduated from Brush High School with the class of 1975. Following his high school graduation, he joined the United States Air Force in 1975, serving 30 years, and retiring at the rank of Chief Master Sergeant in 2005. Shortly after military retirement he began employment for Simplot in Grand Forks and was employed there until the time of his death.

Dave enjoyed watching Broncos and Vikings football, bowling, boating, fishing, and playing card games with his family. He will be missed by all who knew him.

Family members who survive Dave include his wife of 23 years Gayle Brungardt of Grand Forks, ND; former spouse Debbie Lake; children, Jennifer (Ed) Jones, Laura Brungardt, Michael Brungardt all of Brush, CO, Kristina (Dave) Stenseth of Fargo, ND, Jennifer (Jon) Angelier of Philadelphia, PA and Samantha (Phil) Joy of Grand Forks, ND; 6 grandchildren, Morgan and Lillian Jones, Melissa Holt, Zoey and Killian Joy, and Weston Stenseth; his mother, Virginia Brungardt; and brother Robert (Pam) Brungardt of Brush, CO along with many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

He is preceded in death by his father, Virgil Brungardt and many aunts and uncles.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to any Veteran's Organization of donor choice.

A Memorial Service will be held 10:30 AM on Tuesday June 18, 2024, at Dahl Funeral Home, 2029 Central Ave. NW, East Grand Forks, MN, with a visitation 1 hour prior to the  Memorial Service, at Dahl Funeral Home
