David F. Hemby, 80, of Brush, passed away Monday evening, September 10, 2012, at the North Colorado Medical Center in Greeley, CO. He was born January 29, 1932, in Neelyville, MO, to Guy & Daisy M. Hemby. David served in the US Army from 1949 until 1952. In 1973, David moved to Brush. He worked as a carpenter and many will remember him selling fruit and vegetables on the east side of Brush on Highway 34. Survivors include his children, Sheryl Freeman of Long Dale, CA; Pam Joseph and David Hemby both of Tama, IA, and Rose Clark of Elkader, IA; his companion, Theresa Roybal of Brush; 12 sisters & brothers, and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great – great grandchildren. A graveside service with military honors will be held Thursday, September 13, 2012, at 10:00 AM at the Brush Memorial Cemetery Interment Chapel.
