DAVID HERNANDEZ, 63, lifelong area resident, died Friday, November 28, 2008 at the North Colorado Medical Center in Greeley. David was born March 12, 1945 in Hillrose, CO to Ysmael & Josephine (Zapata) Hernandez. David worked in construction as an iron worker. He most recently worked for Hallmark Builders. He enjoyed building and restoring hotrods and welding. He also enjoyed music and especially liked playing his guitars. David was a member of the Iron Workers Union. Survivors include his daughter, Sandra Lynn Hernandez of Fort Morgan; his son, David Lee Hernandez of LaSalle; his sister, Minnie Amador of Las Angeles, CA; three brother, Ricardo Hernandez of Eagle River, Alaska, Manuel Hernandez of Casper, WY, and Chuck Hernandez of Denver; 8 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. He was preceded in death by his brother, Steven Hernandez; his sister, Helen Murillo; and his parents. Visitation will be Sunday, November 30th from 2-5 PM at the Heer Mortuary Chapel in Brush. Funeral Services will be Monday, December 1, 2008 at 10:30 AM at the Heer Mortuary Chapel in Brush. Interment will follow in the Brush Memorial Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made in David's name to the Heer Mortuary.
