David L. Littlejohn, 67, of Fort Morgan, passed away Tuesday, August 22, 2006, at the North Colorado Medical Center in Greeley. He was born January 4, 1939, in Wilson, OK, to Valerie & Marjorie Littlejohn. He attended Teshimingo Community College in Oklahoma. In 1958, Dave moved to Fort Morgan and shortly after moving here began a career in oil and gas exploration. He had worked for Atlas Well Service and J. W. Gibson Well Service. In 1976 he began consulting for Leclair Westwood oil & gas exploration. He also worked for Mustang Well Service, and Evertson Well Service. He later worked in the maintenance department at Excel. Dave was an avid sports fan. He especially enjoyed golfing, fishing, and bowling. He was also a member of BPOE. Survivors include his wife, Liz Williams of Fort Morgan; his children, Michael of Fort Morgan, Lori Holquin and Valerie Morgan both of Perryton, TX, and a step-daughter, Sheila Kral of Fort Morgan; 2 sisters, Sue Cook of Oklahoma City, OK, and Pat Littlejohn.; and a brother Carroll Littlejohn of Witchita, KS; 5 grandchildren and 4 step-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by 1 granddaughter, 2 brothers, and his parents. A funeral service will be held Friday at 2:00 PM at the Fort Morgan United Methodist Church. The service will conclude at the Church. Cremation will follow the service. Visitation will be at the Heer & Jolliffe Mortuary on Friday from 9 - 12. The Heer & Jolliffe Mortuary & Crematory is entrusted with the funeral and cremation arrangements. Friends who wish may make memorial gifts to the Dave Littlejohn Memorial Fund which will be used to help fund a scholarship for young athletes c/o the mortuary.
