Dean attended Snyder High School and left before graduation at the age of 17 to join the US Navy in 1947 and served until his honorable discharge and retirement in 1969. He retired as a chief petty officer. While serving in the US Navy Dean obtained is GED diploma. Dean married Lila Reasoner on November 29,1952. Following his military discharge, Dean worked as a driver license examiner for 20 years.

Dean was a member of the Navy Fleet Reserve and the American Legion Sagebrush Post.

Survivors include his two (2) sons, Stanley (Marsha) Kingcade of FL and Steven (Donna) Kingcade of Bennet, CO; 4 grandchildren, Sarah (her husband Rubin), Seth, Linda and Denny; 2 great granddaughters, Haley and Cosette, and a great grandson Henry; and 1 sister, Phyllis (Lowell) Woodward of Brush. He was preceded in death by his wife, 1 brother, 2 – ½ brothers; 4 – ½ sisters, and his parents.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, October 20, 2018 at 10:00 AM at the

Heer Mortuary Chapel in Brush.
